Feed Them With the Bread That The Master Gives You!
When is the last time you went to Church and actually heard the Message of the Cross?! You know, the part about the sinful nature of mankind which needs to be reconciled to God through His Son who gave His life for us on the Cross. Then there is the part about the infilling of the Holy Ghost through the Cross of Christ, but who is delivering that Word? Those claiming to be the deliverer of God’s Word, the deliverer of the Bread of Life, are not feeding the congregation with the Bread handed to them from the Master’s hand! When the Church neglects to deliver the Bread given through Christ, then how are the multitudes going to be fed the Good News of the remission of sin? How will they be fed new life through the Spirit? The Church is not delivering the Bread that Christ handed them, so you and I need to receive from the Master’s hand and deliver it to the people. Deliver the meager little Bread that we receive, thinking it’s not enough, and make it known what Christ Jesus has done for us on the Cross. A little Bread from the Master’s hand has the miraculous potential to increase from one set of ears to many sets of ears. Feed them the Bread that the Master hands to you, it is enough!
Just this week, two men jumped from a vehicle when they saw a man walking along the sidewalk. They beat the man with their fists and left him for dead on the sidewalk, but he survived after being found and taken to the hospital. It was that same night that two men verbally threatened me as I was riding home from work on my bicycle at 11:30pm. There are sin sick souls full of rage, violence, and hatred. They hate this world and really need to hear about the other world, the Kingdom of God! Christ has handed us the Bread that flows from the Cross He died on and His resurrection power…feed them the Bread that the Master handed you! Satan has the people in this city I live in suffering from emotional and mental bondage to sin. They are held bondage to illegal and prescription drugs as this city is experiencing a drug epidemic and a high rate of poverty. Two days ago, a car was headed this way, 8 miles from the city, with four duffle bags of drugs. Four men were arrested in one car, requiring four State Highway Patrols, and under cover agents accompanied the “bust.” People are not experiencing emotional and mental fulfillment in this world. They need to know that their soul and spirit needs to be filled with what flows from the Kingdom of God through Cross of Christ. Feed them with the Bread that the Master hands you! I should post Church bulletin boards with this word. Every week there are advertisements for a Church event that includes bounce houses, cook-outs, and contemporary music…but not one revival meeting for the Message of the Cross! Satan is stealing, killing, and destroying souls while the Church is jumping up and down filling their bellies with everything except for the Word of God. As individuals, we need to feed the sin sick souls with the Bread that the Master hands us! Where is self-respect and respect for others if we negligently withhold the Word of Salvation that God has handed us? We will never be able to be all we can be in this world, but only in the Kingdom of God will we discover a reborn sense of esteem. Through the Cross of Christ we know we are loved, and that we are worth far more than what the evilness in this world gives us credit for. We need to feed others with the Bread that the Master gives to us.
What is the Bread that the Master gives us? It’s the word of God inspired by the Holy Ghost. No one is perfect, we are all sinners, which I think the city in which I live makes that clear! Adam’s fall occurred because of his desire to have the pleasant looking fruit that God explicitly told him not to eat or touch. That is us today, we want to gratify our desire for pleasantries and comfort while disregarding the Word of God. The Church seems to have a very cozy relationship with the ways of the world today, because they want to pleasure their membership. They give them bounce houses, fireworks, and cookouts instead of feeding them the Bread given to them from the Master’s hand. The Word is that God wants to redeem our soul and spirit by reconciling us to His Spirit of Life! Those who deny that are the same ones doing nothing about the drug epidemics nationwide, do nothing about the ever increasing rates of poverty, and support the modern Church. Christ suffered a gruesome, painful, and tortuous death on the Cross to show the world He would do anything to put the terrible condition of this world into remission. Accepting what Christ did for us on the Cross is to receive the Bread from the Master’s hand to share that same Bread to others. Feed them with the Bread that the Master gives you! The Holy Ghost will infill you and empower you in such a way as to enable you to overcome the terrible assaults of this world. That is our witness to the world and is also judgment against the sinful ways of the world. The Spirit of Life that we have in Christ Jesus, from the Kingdom of God, makes us free from sin and death that is of this world. Jesus Christ is coming soon! Feed others with the Bread handed to you from the Master’s hand.
“And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place. But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people. For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in a company. And they did so, and made them all sit down. Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude. And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.” Luke 9:12-17
