Israel's Place Within the Parable of the Sower
It’s interesting how present day Israel is in about the same place as what they were in during the context of this scripture! Verifying that, even the New World Order refers to Israel as only the Hebrew Land within the groupings of their ten kingdoms. They are not considered a Federation, nor a United State, nor any type of union, just the Hebrew Land! They are surrounded by The Arabian Federated Republics, The Union of African Republics, The Union of Soviet Socialists Republics (or Commonwealth of Independent States), and the United Republics of China! Today’s scripture says, “In the day will you make your plant to grow, and in the morning will you make your seed to flourish: but the harvest will be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.” How do I place them in an isolated context comparable to the NWO’s placement of them as the Hebrew Land? I do that according to Jesus’s parable about sowing seed! This verse in the parable describes Israel as in today’s scripture text; “Others fell on the rocky places, where they did not have much soil; and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of soil. But when the sun had risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.” Let’s look at the other places where the seed fell to see clearly why Israel is in their present circumstances.
Let’s use the premise that the seed sowed is the Word of God that comes to us from the Cross of Jesus Christ.
“Some seeds fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate them up.” It is obvious that Israel is not beside the road because they thoroughly understand the scriptures of the Old Covenant. They are letting no one snatch away their customs. They even understand the basis of Christ Jesus being their Messiah, BUT they reject that basis and reject Jesus Christ as their Savior. HOWEVER, they are squarely on the main road as God’s people and are an indicator of where we are relating to the coming of the anti-Christ, and the victorious return of Jesus Christ. There will be 144,000 sealed Jewish people living within the Great Tribulation, there will be the Twelve Tribes of Israel who form the gates of the New Jerusalem, and the Twelve Jewish Apostles will be the foundation of the New Jerusalem. Definitely not beside the road at all, but maybe confused coming to the “Y” in the road. They do sign a peace accord with the anti-Christ, the anti-Christ violates that contract and severely persecutes the Hebrew Land. We need to understand what Christ Jesus did for us on the Cross for the remission of sin and the infilling of the Holy Spirit, and not allow the Man of Sin to snatch it out of our soul and spirit.
“Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked them out.” Israel is really not among the thorns in today’s age. They are actually their own Nation and among their own people. Being among thorns would be more like their horrid persecution when living among the Germans during Hitler’s Germany! There were definitely a lot of worries to be concerned about during that horrible Holocaust! The wealth that they had was all deceitfulness because the Germans would come and take it all away at any moment. Even then, they were still Jewish people who held fast to the Holy Scriptures that first came to them before coming to the rest of the world! If only they would be that faithful and dedicated to accept what Christ Jesus did for them at the Cross! We need to accept that implanted seed of Christ Jesus into our soul and spirit so firmly that the worries of this world and the deceitfulness of riches do not choke it out!
“Others fell on the good soil and yielded a crop, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.” When it comes to producing fruit from planting the seed of Christ Jesus, that is not Israel either. The nation of Israel is definitely not good soil when it comes to accepting Christ Jesus as their Messiah and Savior. There is something covering their ability to understand the scriptures as pointing to the Cross of Christ in the Old Testament, looking back to the Cross of Christ in the Book of Revelation, and how it applies to our reconciliation with the Spirit of God today! The veil that is covering their heart to accepting Christ Jesus as their Savior is the same blindness that leads them to sign a peace accord with the anti-Christ. Israel is like between a Rock and a hard place! They refuse to accept what Christ Jesus did for them on the Cross, but they hold firm to their dedication to everything that exasperates the anti-Christ! That is not good soil for producing fruit of repentance and fruit of the Holy Spirit. May our soul and spirit be fruitful with the blossoms that come from planting the seed of what Christ Jesus did for us on the Cross.
This planted seed of the parable describes Israel best, and it includes today’s scripture text. I think anyone can see the obvious parallel between the two verses, “In the day will you make your plant to grow, and in the morning will you make your seed to flourish: but the harvest will be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow,” and this verse, “Others fell on the rocky places, where they did not have much soil.” Israel is really making a great, great, great effort of being the Nation of Israel in a world where the leaders of the New World Order only refer to them as the “Hebrew Land.” They are somewhat fruitful in what they are doing, but they are constantly, and constantly, and constantly being bombarded with missile attacks. They win territory in battle then the United Nations comes along and takes it all back from them again and again. For example, the Gaza Strip, the Sinai Peninsula, and the West Bank territories. This describes a Nation or a person that has no firm root in himself, but is only temporary, and when affliction or persecution arises because of the Word, immediately he falls away. I’m sure this explains why Israel signs a peace accord with the anti-Christ. Unfortunately, once again, the fruit of that agreement is short lived, it was an agreement made on rocky ground that brought only grief and desperate sorrow.
We need to receive the seed that is planted from the Cross of Christ. After receiving that seed, we need to plant it firmly within our soul so that blossoms flourish in our spirit through the Spirit of Christ. We do live in times when the spirit of the anti-Christ is strongly upon us. Those who are born again at the Cross of Christ are very much similar to Israel’s position in the world today. We will face bombardment from the modern god of knowledge, which is a component of the anti-Christ. BUT, we need to hold firm to our fellowship with the Spirit of the Living God, to hold firm to the Message of the Cross of Christ, and to desire earnestly the infilling of the Holy Spirit. All of that is possible because of what Christ Jesus did for us on the Cross. May we be fruitful within the depths of our soul so that our spirit will shine brightly in a dark and evil world.
Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord!
