The Cities Will Be For Flocks, Which Will Lie Down, And None Will Make Them Afraid

To put today’s scripture into context, it is basically saying that the Arabian Federated Republic will be about as glorious as the Hebrew Land. The New World Order grouping of the ten kingdoms refers to Israel as the Hebrew Land and Israel is not very glorious in the eyes of the kingdoms of this world. Damascus is the capital of Syria and Aroer is in modern day Jordan. Both Damascus and Aroer are considered part of the Arabian Federated Republic by the New World Order. “The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they will be as the glory of the children of Israel, says the Lord of hosts.”  From what we know about the Great Tribulation and the Battle of Armageddon, about the only glory that does come from that is repentance of the severely persecuted Israel and the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ! A remnant of Israel will come to accept what Christ Jesus did for them on the Cross, and maybe also cities from within the Arabian Federated Republic! One day we will lie down together, unafraid and in perfect peace, with the remnant of Israel in the New Jerusalem. That is God’s plan of Redemption through His Son Jesus Christ, for us to lie down together in perfect peace within the Kingdom of God.

“They will be for flocks, which will lie down, and none will make them afraid.” The cities were so desolated and destroyed that they were flattened to the ground. Flocks began to gather in those flattened cities as a resting place. Yet, the flocks were not afraid, there was no one around to make them feel afraid. That is how desolate the cities were of buildings and people, and how much tranquility there was for the flocks. Those of us who are born again at the Cross of Christ Jesus know what it means when it is said, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.” In the Great Tribulation and the Battle of Armageddon there is going to be great destruction of the land mass, waters, and a massive loss of life. BUT, after the great destruction caused by the anti-Christ, we do have a Home in the New Jerusalem where we will lie down and none will make us afraid. We have a blessed assurance that flows from the Cross of Jesus Christ. Please, believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord.

We stand for the One True God, we proclaim the Message of the Cross of Christ, and we welcome the infilling of the Holy Spirit! During these perilous times that are snowballing into the system of the anti-Christ, we who live in the Spirit of Christ proclaim; “The Lord is my shepherd; I will not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.”

As the Spirit of Christ Jesus abides in us, we are set apart from the destructive and violent ways of the kingdoms of this world. In our soul and spirit we have the peace that comes from the Kingdom of God through Christ Jesus. Just like in the days of Noah, violence and wickedness was so massive it was like a rolling flood overtaking the world! BUT, Noah and his family was lifted up out of that world and was saved from the destruction that came. Sin is what brings destruction to the world, and it is Satan, the anti-Christ, and the mock incarnation of the 666 that operates though our sin. Christ Jesus puts that sin into remission to make it dormant, inactive, and made to do nothing through what we do and say. At the same time that sin is made dormant, it makes inactive the deeds of the anti-Christ. When our faith is rooted in what Jesus Christ did for us on the Cross, we will lie down in peace within the New Jerusalem.

Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Scripture Text
“The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it will be a ruinous heap. The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they will be for flocks, which will lie down, and none will make them afraid. The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they will be as the glory of the children of Israel, says the Lord of hosts.”       Isaiah 17:1-3 King James Version (KJV)

“The Lord is my shepherd; I will not want.

Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.”                 Psalms 23

“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.”        2 Corinthians 4:8-10
