The Light Shines and the Chains Fall Off
Feeling trapped in a lifestyle, neighborhood, or job? The goal is to live for God according to what Christ has done for us on the Cross. However, at the workplace, pressure exists to contradict God’s Love in day to day routines. Often, we just know that poor work evaluations and being delivered to authority for disciplinary action is because of faith in Jesus Christ. The workplace becomes a prison guarded by those who want to corrupt the Holy Ghost in you. They even guard and lock the doors leading to opportunities for career improvement. Their intent is your Spiritual death. Howbeit, in peace, a Light will shine and the chains will fall off! Feeling trapped in a drug-infested neighborhood, with poverty, and other Godless situations is also a prison. Neighbors on every side scrutinize the Children of God who live in the light. That light makes them “uncomfortable” so they need to put that Light in you under guard and in chains. The chains and guards serve to bar the door of entry into a better neighborhood. They want to murder the Spirit of God and murder the Message of the Cross. Howbeit, in peace, a Light shines and the chains fall off! It can be very difficult to feel free from a lifestyle that others want to imprison you into. They guard you in a way as if to lock all doors to prohibit your transformation into the lifestyle that is given by what Christ did for us at the Cross. Murdering the Spirit’s Life is their intent. Howbeit, in peace, the Light shines and the chains fall off!
The anti-Christ is in the world today! Satan wants to apprehend you into a specific environment. Then he wants to chain you to those circumstances, keep you under guard to prohibit fellowship with God through Christ, and then shut the door that leads to an escape from his prison. As obvious, Satan wants to steal, kill, and destroy everything related to God. Satan will try to put your mind, emotions, and behavior under lock and key so that there is no escape from the bondage of sin in what you think, feel, and do. The Big Brother of this technological age is Satan’s tool to control and manipulate the Temple of God, your body. Howbeit, in peace, the Light shines and the chains fall off. No matter where we are within worldly places, such as work, neighborhood, or lifestyle, it’s the Light of God that shines in our heart, soul, and mind that causes the chains to fall off and the door to open. We are set free and Satan is defeated because of what Christ did on the Cross, and Satan cannot imprison our spirit and soul. What God has set free is free indeed!
The Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from sin and death. Satan thrives in the ways of the world, including within our daily routines, and seeks to keep us chained and under guard from reconciling to God. When there is reconciliation to the Spirit of God, the Light of the Holy Ghost lives within us, and that Light causes the chains of sin to fall off and the doors into the Kingdom of God to open. It doesn’t matter where in the world we are as long as Christ is the world to us. Christ as the Incarnation of God, left His Heavenly Home, and died on the Cross to set us free from Satan’s imprisonment.
What worse job could there be than the assignment to be crucified on the Cross, what worse neighborhood could there be than Earth, and what worse lifestyle could there be than to become human? The acceptance of His humble job, His neighborhood, and His lifestyle was for sinners like you and me. While life on Earth could of felt like prison to Him, it was His inner Deity that kept Him free from sin. In the Peace of God, Christ is the Light that shows us the Way. He makes the chains fall off and opens the prison door into the freedom of the soul and spirit. Christ nails sin into remission so that our heart, soul, and mind is not polluted with harmful, negative, destructive, and hurtful attitudes when our job, neighbors, and lifestyle has imprisoned us into much less than we would ever desire for ourselves. Humility is everything! We were in Christ when He was crucified, in Christ when He was buried, and in Christ during the resurrection! That means our sins were crucified and buried with Him so that our soul and spirit can be set free by the resurrection power.
“And when he (Herod) had apprehended him (Peter), he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison. And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.” Acts 12:4-7
