They Put Darkness for Light, and Light for Darkness; They Put Bitter for Sweet, and Sweet for Bitter!

10/08/2018 10:26

Satan is referred to as a deceiver who disguises himself as a bringer of light and pleasure. Every time, his light brings darkness and his sweet enlightenment turns bitter. That is exactly what happened to Adam and Eve, and ever since that fall from fellowship with the Living God mankind has been drawing iniquity and sin by the buckets to themselves. Then mankind mocks the Living God by mocking the belief in His Coming and mocking the Word of God. All of the mockery results from Adam and Eve’s desire to be like gods. In their vanity, they wanted to have knowledge of good and evil, the type of knowledge that is in opposition to the Living God, and keeps them held bondage to the tumult in the kingdom of this world. The light that Satan promised brought spiritual darkness and only opened our eyes to the treachery of Satan’s evil. The sweetness promised from the pleasant looking fruit brought bitterness and sorrow in childbirth and in work. It does us well to remember that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon! We must remember that Christ Jesus’s body was given as a sacrifice for us, and that His Blood was for the remission of sin. As it is written, “For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”

Within the kingdom of this world are heaps of sin, buckets of iniquity, vanity to the greatest proportions. Satan appeals to the lusts of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes, and the pride of life to bring disobedience to the Word of the Living God. In the indulgence of those worldly and fleshly enticements come the consequences of bitterness and darkness. They embrace a skewed since of sweetness in being bitter towards the Word of God, the Message of Cross, and the presence of the Holy Ghost. They consider it to be bitter to embrace the Spirit of the Living God. They mock the belief that the Lord Jesus Christ will return. We are counseled,  “For whenever you eat this bread (Christ’s Body) and drink this cup (Blood for remission of sin) , you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.” Yet, they consider the Light of the Spirit of God to be the darkness of unawareness, and they consider their darkness to be walking in the light. They count the Children of God to be evil in the same way that Christ Jesus was crucified among criminals. In return, they consider persecution of the Children of God to be good. Even so, come Lord Jesus, come!

The Kingdom of God is full of the treasures of Goodness, Light, and Sweetness, and all of that comes to us through the Cross of the Lord Jesus Christ. We do not have the spirit of this world, but we have the fellowship of God’s Spirit within our spirit and soul. Within our spirit there is a sure Witness that Jesus Christ is coming soon! Those of the kingdom of this world are so skewed with their bent since of sweetness, light, and good, that their carnal spirit cannot comprehend the resurrection. Because of what Christ Jesus did for us on the Cross, those buckets of iniquity and sin become washed away, rendered inactive, becomes dormant, and made to do nothing through us. We will be with Christ Jesus at His Second Coming, and we will be in our glorified body. The lies, deceptions, and trickery of Satan are defeated at the Cross. There is no doubt that the Holy One of Israel will draw nigh and come. We are counseled, “For whenever you eat this bread (Christ’s Body) and drink this cup (Blood for remission of sin) , you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”

By the Spirit of Christ, our soul and spirit are separated from the spirit and soul within the kingdom of this world. We are set apart by the guidance of the Holy Ghost that lives within our spirit. We love the Living God more than we love the pleasures, enticements, knowledge, information, and esteem of this world. We embrace Jesus Christ and what He did for us on the Cross, He is God’s beloved Son. We welcome the infilling of the Holy Ghost. The Godhead overwhelmingly confirms in our spirit that Jesus is coming soon! Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord!

Scripture Text
“Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope: That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it! Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
